Taipei 101
Later took a Taxi to the nearest metro station and . This was the tallest building on earth from 2004 to 2010. Its vertically 508 meters (little above half a kilometer from ground) and has 101 floors above ground and 5 underground. First 5 floors are treat to eyes. Too much of shopping options – all classy ones and for deep pocket holders. It has a 660 tone damper made of steel to control its sway during heavy wind.
Observatories located at the 89th and 91st floors and also houses some of the best coral art collections in the world and can be photographed (unlike the museum).
Taipei City hall station is where we need to get down and a small walk would get us to this building. I liked the Taipei 101 mall as well. This has world’s fastest lifts. 🙂
