As this is the last day for Tokyo, I had no intention to miss out the Hachiko dog – the very dog made me to cry like a baby (Am sure you know the movie). After the dinner, settled my family into the hotel and I took the camera and the train to Shibuya station. At the Hachiko exit, even at 10pm, it was super crowded crazy. I asked few to locate the dog statue and one finally understood Hachiko and pointed me to an unsuspecting tree right outside the station which guarded Hachiko. My next stop was the urge to take the most iconic signal where every movie introduces Tokyo to you – The Shibuya Crossing.

Shibuya Crossing

I have read that at peak hours, it does help 4000 people cross at times. This being primary shopping district, even late at that time, it was pulling hundreds of people for every time it changed to Green. There are few nice places to take the picture but I bet nothing beats the Mag’s Park at the Magnet building. Entrance is slightly confusing but guards helped and it was quick ride to the top. A vending machine ticket got access to the bird’s eye view of Shibuya Crossing. Weather was cool and the air had so much of life in it with a bit of electricity. After trying enough pics, I called it a day. Alternate option is to go Starbucks and wish you get a seat facing the signal but from the road itself, it wasn’s impressive view for sure to me.

Just to record, I skipped Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office shinjiku as we covered SkyTree. I couldn’t spend any time with the shopping belt (had plans for Shibuya 109 mall) but I didnt miss as shopping was the last of my priority in Japan.
