Sensoji (“Senso” is an alternative reading for Asakusa and “ji” means temple) is Tokyo’s most famous and popular temple. Alternate name of this temple is Asakusa Kannon.

Its a beautiful temple within the walking distance of Asakusa station, with even more beautiful shopping street of 200 meters (Nakamise). We got down and after exploring all the restaurants; I settled with McDonald’s (Am just chicketarian, so I play it safe). It was crowded as well but the place is spacious and not cramped. Temples are beautiful everywhere and after certain time, you would start to see some patterns but none fails to impress. We spent a while walking around and then thought of walking to the Skytree but heavily clouded evening made us to get a taxi. Skytree is just visible from the Asakusa itself. After a short ride, we reached skytree. Alternative way is to use the train to Tokyo Skytree Station.
