Let me not beat around the bush!. Take it. Its Sridevi’s show. A conservative, typical indian house wife’s portrayal, I seriously doubt anyone else could have done better.
Its a story of a mom who is happy making laddoos and plays by the book of a typical Indian housewife. There comes few moments of emabarasment in the name of English.
Soon, she goes to US all alone for her Niece’s wedding. Its the start, world seem to be new for her. Few events pushes her and she ends up joining a crash course on English speaking.
Now the rest is unnecessary to explain. If it can be said, simply too good to watch.
Its a light family movie which makes you laugh often. This is fresh and not the beaten typical indian-english-jokes. Amitabh Bachan, in Hindi version, steals the minutes given to him. I just wished that I saw our own Ajith’s performance too.
Priya anand, a fresh face just does the job neat. Music, just fits the screen and your ears.
It wasnt boring even for a minute. Makes you to guess and what comes after is little different which keeps us to glued to the screen. Gauri Shinde, who wrote and directed this film just beat Mira Nair (just my humble thought).
There are some moments it brings tears and that says the director won.
Love to see our people making these quality movies. Easily fetchces a star rating between 3.5 to 4 out of 5. Or even more.
