MARINA BAY SANDS – SKYPARK

**************************

Three and a half years in Singapore. Still, a lot more to explore in Singapore itself. Lets say, saving for boring weekends. Singapore is totally on fast track for attracting tourists. Resorts world (Universal Studios) is camping at Sentosa and getting ready for a grand opening. Marina Bay Sands (of Las Vegas Sands), integrated resort at Marina Bay is changing Singapore’s picture itself as its shadowing the sky scrappers at the river quay. Sands – will be a Casino plus a 2560 rooms hotel. When I landed in Singapore in 2007, it was just sea. 🙂

It claims as world’s costliest casino and in numbers S$8 billion. It has interesting architecture and has a lot of plans. Shopping malls, world renowned chef restaurants, attractions, Skypark and the list goes on. As of now (18th Aug, 2010), they are still to open; however promises so much. Interesting stuff is the skypark which is one-third of a KM length and has a 140m swimming pool. The way they designed the swimming pool is just awesome.

Entrance cost stands at S$20 as of now and strictly queue system exception for Singapore’s anything-online theme. Ideal time is to visit at the dusk to view golden lashes of Singapore. View is breathtaking from the Skypark. Infinity pool is just awesome for the visitors. Stayers can take a dip while ‘woww-ing’ the view. But as of now, there is no privacy to them as the visitors are in 100s. Munched a hotdog and got lucky with NDP rehearsal fireworks.

Its just nice to be there.. 😉
