hmmmmmm……..
I feel like I wrote that dinner reminder mail just a bit before.. But now, My vacation “Poye pochu”!
Still left with chweet memories…
As usual, a little bit about the trip before your eyes run to the pictures.. Bear it!
Well, my first 3 days has gone in eating & sleeping and sometimes vice-versa..
And then it was the Tuesday.. (…The Dinner day…)
Many joined the dinner and few skipped with genuine reasons.. I loved them as they were kind enough to call me to inform.. And for one or two, it was no show day.. (lazy gooses)..
We had Vinoth’s,Krish’s, Kubhi’s parents already, that day.. So we got a lovely chance to take them too..
As usual, we had much fun than what we had for appetite..
With that gone my Tuesday too..
Parents TRIP: (Thu-Fri-Sat)
We : (My, Vinoth, Krishna, Kubendran, Arun, Sivaranjini) Parents, my uncle and anty, and the group of gangsters (..WE..) .. Totally 23.
With Arun’s much of man-hours I got the flash presentation about the trip. We integrated the plan with some previous parents trip video clips and few of snaps to make it as a video for 15 mins.. Lovely it was, but what I integrated screwed up almost 4-5 mins of the show.. Irresponsible Vista movie maker software.. ( I never take blames.. he..he..he..)
With that video presentation, we had our journey started.. Add 3-4 breaks of tea/snacks before the next morning.. 😉
Next day around 8 in the morning we reached TurtleBay beach resort in the west coast (Maravanthe).. Beauty of this place; Souparnika river and the Arabian sea is parted just by the highway..
As we expected the sea was quite rough!.. Not with its beauty..
We had the whole day for beach walk, cricket, table tennis.. Right after the noon meal, we had the entire group splitted into 5. Groups were given with a scissor, cello tape and a bunch of news paper. They came up with beautiful houses in 40 minutes.. With some gyans of the game with respect to the real life (thanks for my team-building exercises), we ended it. Rain ruined the boating plan in the Souparnika river. Again beach, walk, tea, coffee, snacks.. Still I was hungry by the dinner time.. With that delicious dinner, we had the camp fire facing beach..
Our definition of Camp fire:
Therea izuthu theruvule vidurathu. Never mind if you dont get it. Thats the place where we feel proud to the fullest to the heart content and few negative things about us. Just the man theory, 80% of optimism and 20% pessimism exposed and neutralized. We always have the same with different themes..
Second time, parents had it..
zzzz…zzzzz….zzzz… (shhhh.. end of day one.. we are sleeping..)
Friday:
Isnt beach even more beautiful in the mornings? Breakfast, photo session, check out.. With some kittens digitally captured, we started.
Souparnika river with the kodachadri hill backdrop and the arabian sea behind the road and a scary boat ride!! Feel it yourself.. Awsome.. still in my eyes..
With that we left to Murudeshwar, where they claim to have the biggest Lord Shiva statue in Asia. Well, we hope so. I admired the brain that thought about the theme.
Out of the box thinking.. In Jargons.
Jog falls, what we had in the itinery as the next destination messed up with the time.. We straightened it by skipping Jog falls for that day without knowing we will never make it in the trip.
We reached Kollur Mookambiba temple. With some selfish prayers, headed to kodachadri hill base.
And we reached.
In two jeeps 16 of us started to the peak. Remember I trekked this place year back and I had no issues with that except a whole day of climbing. Few parents prayed and they were reluctant to see outside this time. Feel the rough path of the rocky hill. It is eligible enough to publish as a forward how a jeep can climb those rocky, slippery hill curves..
I acted as if I wasnt scared.
And after dark we reached the peak. And rest 7 made it shortly with enough anxiety to kill me.. Definitely, all scared.
Lovely climate, but non-stop pouring.
With some hot food and a game for parents, we called it a day.
Saturday:
Morning was beautiful still it was pouring like somebody opened the sky.. After chores, we headed to peak. Believe me, we climbed around 3kms to reach the peak with 5-6 leechs avergage per person.. Even though it was hard enough. except 2, 21 of us made it to the peak where Adi Shankara did mediatation.
I like to quote the good old saying, “Where there is a will, there is a way too”.. Parents proved it.
And back to the Traveller’s Bunglow where we stayed and started to the base later.
All started breathing normally.. after all it is base..
With some cup noodels cooked, we continued our journey to Belur.. Again failed to cope up with time.. (We never skipped places in our trips so for.. :-((
After a scenic drive we had our dinner at chikmagalur.. When I opened my eyes, they said, we reached home.
Thanks for the Highway.. 2:40 in the morning am at home..
With some leech in the dream, zzzzz….zzzz…zzzzz… again..
With that parents trip came to an end..
Waiting for the next June..
Okeiiiiii… Enough of this.. Go ahead and enjoy the trip pictures.!!
